Entre ella y yo

(2019 - 2020)

Co-production with Producciones Teatrales Contemporáneas (PTC).

Valeria and Diego.

A pregnancy test.

Five minutes to find out the result.

Are they ready to become parents? Do they want to be parents? Is it a step forward or is it a leap into the void?

Uncertainty, anxiety, fear, hope.

For 44-year-old Valeria, this may be her last chance to be a mother.

For Diego, fatherhood could be the excuse he needs to finally grow up. But is that what they want?

Today more than ever, with Spain’s lowest birth rates in recent decades, the decision to become parents is increasingly a question that is pondered carefully. Why is this? Is it selfishness? Fear? Indifference? When is the ideal time? Indeed, is there an ideal time? Can we be happy without children? Are we capable of taking on the responsibility?

Entre ella y yo (Between Her and Me) – the multi-award winning Argentine comedy by Pablo Mir that is still running after three seasons – explores potential late parenthood through humour, fears, doubts and fantasies.

Five minutes that become an eternity for Valeria and Diego.

Five minutes separate them from the abyss.

All they have to do is wait…
