Alexander Whitley is an interdisciplinary dance-maker exploring the new creative possibilities for choreography emerging through digital technology.

Working with leaders in digital design and technology and drawing on his background in classical and contemporary dance, Alexander creates innovative and highly crafted productions noted for their intricate choreography, strong musicality and striking visual design.
Established in 2014, Alexander Whitley Dance Company exists as a platform for enquiry and innovation, bringing together world-class artists, academic research and technological ingenuity in the creation of ground-breaking dance productions. Building on a distinguished performing career, AWDC was founded in response to the new creative possibilities emerging from developments in digital technology and the interdisciplinary practices forming around it.

Through its innovative stage productions, installations and virtual
reality experiences, the company has rapidly established a reputation for its ambitious and intellectually engaged work and has drawn together a network of exceptional collaborators.
